Wherever we gather, the EPIC community is enriched by engagement with local arts and cultural production. As an LA-based ethnographer who is also a musician, I hope this playlist of classic and contemporary LA songs inspires listeners to experience the many sides of Los Angeles. It will include past and present Los Angeles artists, curated to reflect the themes of this year’s EPIC conference, Foundations, Displacement, Generation. The playlist can be experienced by conference attendees in their headphones or on car speakers as they explore the city. A visual map will accompany the playlist, highlighting neighborhoods in LA associated with the various artists.
